Default Best bike to rent for a 4-day Fly'n'Ride?

We're flying into Las Vegas, then renting a bike for a four day ride - different motel every night... taking everything we arrive with along with us... will it be too tough to get by with just the saddle bags on a Road Glide? Would we be crazy not to rent a bike with a tour pack?

What would be the best Harley to rent for such a ride?

We ride a Road King Custom at home, but only for long day rides, we haven't done over-nighters... your suggestions most welcome! Thanks in advance.

shooter... thanks for the note... do the dealers rent tour packs for Road Glides? Would it be just as good to rent an Electra Glide? (Not sure how the bikes differ...)

Do you have any bike luggage that fits on the passenger backrest, like a T-Bag? If so, I would recommend getting one and renting a Road Glide. All the rentals I have seen come standard with a passenger backrest with luggage rack. The T-Bag I use is the Route 66 model and you could easily use it for your airline luggage, then wheel it on over to the dealer, put it on the bike, and go.

Biggzed... that sounds like a great idea. I don't have any t-bags or anything like that, but could easily buy a t-bag to use a travel luggage, then we can just put it on a rental Road Glide behind the passenger back rest? That would be great... and we could use it on the RK Custom at home as well... I like the idea, because what else would we use as luggage that we could take on the bike when we get to LV? Great idea.

If you plan on RENTING a HD in Vegas -
Highly Recommend you check out EAGLE RIDER http://www.eaglerider.com/
And if you need a TourPak... Your going to have to rent a Electra Glide Classic as they are the only HD that offers a TourPak...
But better make reservations quick as Vegas as a few Rally's coming up later this month and they go quick...

It's only a good idea if the bike comes with a luggage rack on that backrest. Better check on it before dropping the coin on a T-Bag, otherwise a EG Classic or Ultra should be in your plans.
