RE: Anyone else paranoid after visiting these forums?
People that are happy and have good running bikes are out riding.
Those with problems seek out forums like this to vent, or find the answers to their problems, or, if like me, want to read about potential problems if I decide to buy another bike.
That kind of skews the results of who's actually having problems or not.

Not to sound philosiphical or anything, but i live every day like it's my last. All things considered it's been fun. There's a few things i trully love in life, my family, riding and eating. ahh such is life...Enjoy it while you can, i don't dwell on the what ifs more than i have to.

As a general aviation pilot, I read every FAA and NTSB accident report
that I can get my hands on, to learn from the mistakes made by "others".
I do the same with motorcycle accident reports.

Paranoid? Not at all. I have gained so much valuable information here it is worth sorting through the other stuff to find it. Not only that , after a bit of time you learn what post to read and what ones to skip over. Well worth the time spent here.

I like what Howie Long said the other day during a pre game show. "In a 24hr news cycle, they always talk about the car wreck." In other words, these forums would not survive if all that was here was how great it is to own a motorcycle and how great it is to get out and ride. Yes, you may wreck, yes your motorcycle may break down, yes you may hear new noises from your bike you have not heard before. Stay alert, never assume they see you. Pay attention to traffic and stay focused on what you are doing, oh yeah.................HAVE FUN!!!!!
