I intalled the Siren II myself. I did not pull the maxi-fuse and did not disconnect the battery. The connection is a simple plug and play, no exposed wires. My alarm cam from the factory with 1-1-1-1-1. I changed it right away!

Just a comment to the guys that had their dealer personnelinstall the codes. How well do you know them? Would you entrust them with your car or house key or the PIN to your ATM card?
Trust only goes so far then common sense should prevail.

Talk to your dealer about getting a manual. he should be able to order one for you. In the meantime, ask him to show you how to change the code, watch carefully, then when you leave the premisios, redo it again with YOUR own code..
