Some interesting observations on 08 baggers

RE: Some interesting observations on 08 baggers
From what I understand the abs sensors are tied to the computer system.
But I need to do more research on this.
Most autos are tied into the electronics as a abs computer regulates the solenoids that alternately pressureize and release the brakes during a panic stop.
I imagine HD has done something similar, but haven't seen the system as of yet. Maybe in a couple hours when I'm at the dealer.

I think we have some issue to check, the ABS stuff is in the wheel Hub and therefore to change out the wheel you need to check if it will still accomodate the fixings that come on the stock bike.
Check the diameter of the hub, that would be a start I guess to see if it is the same as the stock wheel.

I have to think this brake bleeding issue is bullsh!t. I recall back in the 80's when ABS started showing up in cars the consensus was that special tools were needed to bleed brakes. That proved to be false as any car tech will tell you. Just replaced a rusted brake line on my work beater 95 Mercury w/ABS and bleeding the brakes was no different than any other car. Sounds to me like another "get'em into the dealer for all service" scheme...
not that I'm cynical or anything...
