Radio went bad on 07 StreetGlide
Has anyone else had any problems with the volume control on thier radio? My bike has been in the shop 2 times and they have finally decided to completely replace the radio. The first problem I had was the radio would turn itself all the way down to mute all by itself. The shop thought it was a pinched wire and fixed it in the handlebar controls. 2 months later the volume started going all the way up on its own. This time I could tell that it was only doing it when I hit a bump. If the roads were perfect I would be fine, but I live in Ohio. The shop has decided to completely replace the radio. Is this a common problem or do I just have a bastard radio?

I live in Seattle, my 07 SG will "sometimes" go quiet when I hit a bump, I just figured it was the CD but then it happened on FM also....... it lasts for about a second or two. My fix was to NOT hit bumps but I guess after reading your issues I should take it in, someday.

They replaced my radio as of today. Dropped the bikeoff last night, and they called and said your bike is ready to pick up this afternoon.
From friends, people I have met. The track record of these radios have a lot to be desired. I wonder if they are waterproof.
I have seen them power themselves on, and off, change channels am, to fm, to cd, xm, and so on. Seen the volume go up and down. Seen the famous blank red screen. Even watched a person put his CD into the radio, and the radio refused to eject the cd. Watched the clock on the bike advance one to four hours at a time.
I personaly am not impressed with these radios.
There is probably some out there that have had no problems with there radios.
Just my 2cents worth.
