I ordered a 06 street glide in vivid black.......it isn't coming in until June of 06.........dealer called and said he got a 06 street glide (Cobalt Blue) in today and it is unspoken for......he wanted to know if I was interested and he would let me have the blue one right now instead of waiting until June..............what do you guys think. I really like black and chrome but the blue is awful cool.....thanks Todd

you can get used to blue......beside thats why they invented spray guns!!

 

Personally I would wait for the color you really wanted. I like the look of the blue, but don't think I could stand the color all the time so I went with the Black Pearl.

Also...JUNE???? WTF they are sitting in dealerships right now there should not be that long of a wait.

I would be doing some calling around to other dealerships even if I had to drive a little further.

 

I gotta agree with Cheyenne, here. The blue is a cool new color...but it's pretty intense. Not sure I could deal with it in a solid color for long. If you were set on the Vivid Black, stick to it. And call around, it's one of the biggest production colors they make, there's no doubt one sitting in a dealership somewhere. I suspect your dealership isn't trying to find another one because they don't get the full profit on selling another dealer's stock.

If you think the Cobalt is a color you like, or, like Mike said, one you could mod with a little paint, it's a valid option. Either way, I wouldn't be waiting until June to get a bike. Think of all the saddle time you'd lose!!

 

June? Not a chance. I would look around. The blue initially caught my eye on the web site. But it is more of a purple to me. Vibrant to say the least. Be sure to see one in person. I don't have a problem with it, but I am sure it is not a color for everyone.

I saw a cobolt blue one at my dealer,must say depending on what angle you looked at it it looked either purple or blue,sharp looking never the less,I like the blue.

 

I was going to buy a RK Custom in Cobalt Blue and as we were talking he said they had one in Sunglo blue which I had not seen in all the time I was up there. I told him to show me. Turns out it was in the back and had not been prep'ed yet. I told him that was the color I wanted and I got it that afternoon. Thought I knew what I wanted until I looked at another.

Go to another dealer, who the hell wants to wait till June. Black is cheapest and easiest color to get in any other model. Tell the dealer where to go. Either that or setlle for the cobalt blue you dont want anyway.
