If the rotors are indeed warped it would be covered under warranty.

Is it making anintermittant rubbing sound at low speeds? Elaborate a bit on what it's doing.

.....that's highly unusual at 6K. Might be more of a stickin caliper or worn pad

I have a front rotor out of true by .004 . Warranty will not cover it until .008 . It is just enough off that it grabs right at the point of stopping, causing an imbalance. I have bitched and complained, but they will not replace (and I bought the 7 year warranty!) I told the service manager I was going to take a hammer to it to make sure it was more than .008 out of true.

Rotors usually warp during heavy usuage in the rain, whether it be car or cycle. Hot braking, cold water, warped rotor.

interesting...I have felt the pulsing and hear the rubbing in the front as well as the rear of my bike...07 RKC also...I will have them check it when they put on my tire and my IDS.

I had the same problem with my 06 RK with 8000 miles. Front brakes had a lot of palsating in them to the point that I rarely used them. Finally changed the rotors out with H-D floaters and Lyndell Z pads. Made all the difference in the world. Front brakes are great now.

One of my front rotors is warped too. Grabs and pulls at low speed; be careful at red lights/stop signs. Mechanic says the rotors usually warp in the same spot, near one of the groove cuts, where it's weaker. I use the rear brake more for the low speed stop. Will replace soon with an aftermarket rotor, most likely...

Easy to check with a dial indicator.
