IDS Bearing Installation

IDS Bearing Installation
After reading all the approvals from everyone who has the IDS installed, I've decided to order one for my '07. For those that installed the IDS themselves, are there any hints, techniques and suggestions for those of us about to undertake this project. I am planning on pressing the bearing into place myself, and am especially concerned about doing it correctly.
I am sure I'm not the only one who has wondered if they can do this themselves. I do have access to a hydraulic press. All help extremely appreciated...

RE: IDS Bearing Installation
Had the bearing pressed by Zanotti's to the tune of$12.Recommend that you have a shop manual handy when tackling this job. The instructions say to use a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol andwater tolubricatethe rubber parts in order to makeinstallation easier. If you don't have any handy, slick a little spit on there instead and the partsslide into placereal easy.
If you've ever taken the rear tire off your bike before (I hadn't), then you're more than qualified for the job. Took this novice wrench turner 5.5 hours to get it done. If I had to do it again, could probably cut that in half.
Go for it!
