Default New Spot lights on SG - Results

Wired up the new Spots. Used the Fender Tip leads on the Headlight harness for the hook up. Installed the 'Spot' switch from the Ultra. The 35W Halogens are very bright in daylight. You get the distinct three points of light. Much brighter than the Low beam on it's own. At night I have a large pool of light infront of the bike all the way out to the extent of the Low Beam. Hooking the Spots to the switch means I can run them even with the High beam.

Headwinds Light bar and Rocket Spotlights. I used the light bar from a Fat Boy as I had it already. I had to fabricate an 'L' bracket and use the center hole normally used for the fork mounted air dam. They make a specific bar for the FL's but they say it will not work on an SG. The problem is not with the Light bar but with the shape of the Rockets. They are long and pointed at the back so they will interfere with the fairing and not allow the bar to mount flush to the steering head. I believe if you use a different shape light, Adjure or Silver Bullet, you would not have this problem. My 'L' bracket providesa space needed for the Rockets to angle correctly. First pic shows how the bar is supposed fit flush. 2nd pic shows the space on mine.

Can you get a close up where you mounted it at? SG rider here, and definately looks good. Only thing Id do different is get the spotlights with eyebrows to match the rest of the lights[sm=smiley20.gif]

I will take some pics and post. I agree about the eyebrows. I am not sure if I can get different bezels for the Spots. I may have to change the Headlight and Turn signals to something that will match. I am not happy with the fit of the Headlight trim as it is. Too large a gap on the one side.
