Default 36MM Wrench

Just a heads up before you spend $80

I ordered one of these

http://www.tooldiscounter.com/ItemDisplay.cfm?lookup=KAS9636

and one of these

http://www.pitposse.com/po36reaxnutw.html

to adjust my belt. Both have holes to put a torque wrench in and on both of them the holes are so close to the hex they won't clear the d@mn muffler.

Perfect timing,I just took rear wheel off for the IDS install, and used the 36mm wrench in HD tool kit. On oppisit end you stick an allen wrench in it to extend for leverage. Then take a 110 pound dumbell and quickly curl it once while wrench ison cone nut of axel, then reach over after putting dumbell down and apply the same amount of force to axel nut to get the torque. This way can avoid removeing pipe or messin with torque ext..ect. works great and free

I was going to order the one from Pitposse about 2 weeks ago and noticed where the torque wrench insertion point was on the wrench and knew it wouldn't clear my pipes so I passed on it.

Have absolutely no idea why they putthe torque wrench adapter holeso close to the axle nut site.............useless.

Set the torque wrench like you would to tighten a left hand thread and put the torque wrench on the inside. It works just fine with either of those wrenches. Far from worthless.

That would be too easy and I wouldn't be able to gripe about the poor layout. Besides, I want to stab it from the outside, not the inside, can't break tradition.[8D]

I thougth the same thing when I first looked at it. Then I decided to be smarter than the wrench and make it work.

Thats what I wound up doing with my Craftsman torque wrench, but my Snap-on torque wrench says not to use it left handed???
