Are Rhineharts just junk or what?

RE: Are Rhineharts just junk or what?
I've said it before. If someone could bottle that Rinehart sound into a higher quality yet little less expensive pipe they would make a fortune.
Yeah they had a problem with the rear header pipe on the True Duals
and mine cracked too, right at the bracket that attaches to the starter
Lifetime warranty I believe on the older pipes having the problem
Mine was 2 years old and they replaced no questions, didn't even have to send the old one back

They have already made a furtune, look to see how many guys have them.

Someone as in another manufacturer. If they could get that Rinehart sound in a good quality, yet less expensive they (as in another manufacturer) would make a fortune.

Rineharts are the "me too" pipes for baggers, like the V&H Long Shots are for Softails. When they started selling them a few years ago, people went in a mad rush buying them. You couldn't hardly get a set for a while. Then, they started cracking and having the end caps blue. People still go on buying them, though. Personally, I think the name should be changed to Rinehypes. I don't believe they are "all that" and have certainly heard plenty of other brands that sounded good to my ear.

Personally, I've had Vance & Hines pipes on my Fat Boy (10 years) and Kerker slip ons on my bagger (2 years) and had zero problems with either, which is truly the way it should be.
I love the look of the Rinehart true duals and almost bought some....until I heard them. Considering the problems they are having, I'm kinda glad I didn't (and still don't) like the sound or I'd be stuck with pipes that are prone to a variety of failures.

My concern would be if I was seeing by pipes turn blue and cracking, would be hot much heat are they
generating. You can check that with a infra red temp gauge or a local quality shop should have one.
Also have you checked your plugs, what do they look like (lean or rich)? I own a custom shop and
see numerous bikes that are not tuned properly causing blue pipes, cracked pipes and evening blown
head gaskets. Just a suggestion, but before I would drag Rinehardt over the coals, I'd make sure my sh$t was in order.
