Actually, it will hold a six pack, we just add one of those freezer blocks that we get from our frozen Butcher Box orders to help keep our 4 water bottles extra chilled for extra long. It really helps on those long rides in 100, 110, or even 120 degrees a few times.
Added note- We also carry those little packets of powdered Propel or Gatorade onboard to mix in the chilled water to help get some electrolytes in us as well. We can get those 16.9 oz. bottles of water anywhere and just mix it up. A LOT cheaper than buying the premixed stuff!

I use a Harley cooler. I had one of the cheaper ones from Amazon but the HD brand is way better. I fill it with ice and water bottles, never leaks.

Our "lost and found" shelf at my high school is filled with abandoned Hydroflasks, some parents spend a lot of money just to have their kids leave them laying around. As a backpacker and hiker, those things are way too heavy to be practical for me. Give me a Katadyn BeFree filter and a couple Smart water bottles. Super light and effective.
OP, how about using a couple of 1 liter Smart Water bottles? They have a screw cap and I've never had one leak. Plus, I just grab them from our school recycle bin, the kids toss them out daily. Just fill them and freeze them.

Wal-Mart has a 64 oz. water bottle that I like and it guarantees to keep cold ice water for almost 3 days and hot coffee is good for over 2. Plus its only $20. I've got one and I decided to see if it would keep water cold so I set it out in my garage for 3 days when the temps were still in the high 90's and you know what? It worked as stated.
