Default Rented an Electra Glide Classic

I couple of weeks ago I rented a 2007 Electra Glide Classic. I have a 2001 Goldwing that I bought new (60,000 mile now) and will be buying a new bike soon. My thoughts on the Harley: It was a very fun bike to ride, easy handling and it had soul. The Goldwing will run circles around it as far as power is concerned. On the interstate I could not believe how fantastic the Harley was, NO BUFFETING even at 80. The Goldwing will beat you to death and wear you out. I am 6'7" and weigh 300 and the Harley has much more room especially for the legs. On the Goldwing I can only move my legs about 2 inches before I hit the fairing. The Harley was hotter and made more noise (gear whine) but I know that some of that has been addressed on the 2008 or with aftermarket parts. Looks like a 2008 Ultra Classic will be in my future.

I have a 07 wing trike, that's the "our" bike as the wife feels more secure with both of us on it, however I too just bought a 07 FHTCU.....love it.

I've owned 20 HD's and this one make 21.....nothing like them. Yes the wing will out run all but the V-rod....smooth, quite, bullet proof, but and a big BUT....it doesn't move me like that big old v-twin....yeah they're a little hot, yeah the shake rattle and roll.....but that's what makes them special....

Congrats on the future UC, had three and they are Great....
