Boogyman, Thanks, since my bike is a ex police bike I already have a permanent tour box mount that I had made a top plate for to use as a luggage rack. I am hitting eBay now for a 4 channel rack to modify as the article said

01 RG- I have the det. for the king TP. Thats fine.
My friend gave me a 2-up lugage rack and a det Pas. back rest.

I got the detach kit but the sold me the rear, thats ok it has the posts I need and can make them work.
However, the bracket for the LR will fit fine onto the fender bolts as intended.
The problem is with the Pas, BRest. Front mounts ok, (on KTP) bracket. But the back looks as if I need an offset bracket(similar to the saddle bags).

My 2 air valves are up on the frame rail, no bolt there for the post.

Any Ideas? The cat (not meow!)says it should fit the FTR 98'later.
