Mufflers and the Holy Grail
Hi, I am currently trying to identify the spec on the HD slash cut mufflers on my 99 RKC (part number 64910-99) so I can map my PCIII. BUT what I am really wondering is whether anyone likes the Screaming Eagle tourers?
My holy grail is a set of mufflers that rumble but not so much that I **** off the neighbours when I go out at 6am for an early summer ride, that help boost performance but not at the expense of too heavy fuel consumption ($2 a litre!) and, the real cherry that have the sort of single fin end tips that the screaming eagle and Kerker do.
Collective wisdom sought - and if you have a set under your bed alongside the classic pannier rails that I am also looking for then your my friend for life.
Pete

RE: Mufflers and the Holy Grail
I have the SE Street Performance Touring mufflers (64985-07) 0n my '07 Road King and am really pleased with them. They meet all of your goals in that they produce more sound and power than the original equipment mufflers without sacrificing fuel efficiency.
