Default Pics of Clearview windshield on SG.

I really think I need a taller WS and was looking at the Clearview 6.5" with recurve but don't know what color to look at. Anyone have a pic of the Dark grey and smoke shields?

This is a 6.5" Clearview with recurve in light smoke gray. Hope it helps!

Did going to the 6.5 do anything for the wind buffeting around you glasses?

I like that fender tip. Which one is it? I haven't seen one listed for the SG.

How tall are you that you are going to the 6.5" with recurve. I am placing my order this week for mine and am wodering about the height question as well.

Actually, I've got a 2000 FLHTC that looks alot like a SG, so I had a 8" windshield to start with and went to the 6.5" recurve. To me it's the same as before, just as they said it would be. I have ridden SG's before and found the buffeting terrible, and this 6.5 certainly does not do that. I'm 6' but have a low solo seat, so I see pretty well over the shield. Hope that helps.

If your asking me, I put a fender tip from a Deluxe on the fender. They used to sell a kit to do that but it's now obsolete. I bought the tip and had a buddy drill the 2 holes required to attach it. He also drilled the fender for the 2 side rails, 6 holes total in the fender including the tip. I've always liked the tip on a deluxe, thought I'd give it a try.

I have the 8" w/ recurve in dark gray on my bike. I may try a 6.5" shortly.

Some input for those of you cursing your stock wind screen on the SG. I,m 6,4" and the wind buffeting was terrible on my SG with the stock screen. SO bad at times that I couln't keep classes or goggles on when out on a windy day. I ordered a Fastaire 8" dark smoke from Jim ( great service and product) and I had a completely different ride. But over time I've missedthe look of the stock screen and wanted to put itback on. Before doing so I ordered a set of the HDfairing wind deflectors to give them a try. Installing those deflectors almost made as much difference as going from the stock 4" screen to the 8" Fastaire. Back now to the stock screen with the fairing deflectors, don't get me wrong I still have some wind but much more liveable. Never would of thought those deflectors could do so much.

Streeter,

Did you get Part #: 58568-98A to match the black windshield? It doesn't mention that it is for the Street Glide.
