Intercom Question for Ultra Owners

Intercom Question for Ultra Owners
A friend of mine has a 2007 Ultra and can not figure out the intercom. Seems they can hear each other but can not get any volume at all. We went through all the settings and can not find any thing to "turn it up". Radio volume is fine, when they speak it just does not have the same volume as the radio. Not having intercom on my Street Glide I have no idea what to suggest to him. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. To me it sounds like something is just not set up right. We tried going by the manual but did not get any results. The local dealer was no help either. He said it looked to be set up right and thought there might be a radio problem.
Thanks!!

RE: Intercom Question for Ultra Owners
Turn the radio on then press button that says INT. Top left of your screen is On/Off label. Press to cut INT on. Then use your volume control to set your volume and the rear control to set passenger volume. You will have to set your VOX to get the mikes to open when you start talking. Takes a little work to get them so the wind doesn't open them. You do that thru the screen that you turn INT on with in the right side of screen. You use the soft keys to adjust. Once you get the hang of it the system is very user friendly.

RE: Intercom Question for Ultra Owners
Street, sounds like they are trying to set the volume for the intercom while in radio mode. Like hojones says, they need to set the volume in intercom mode. Once set it will retain the last setting, both volume and VOX. I'm good adjusting the system, but sometimes even I make mistakes adjusting the volumes. BTW, same goes for the CB volume and squelch.

RE: Intercom Question for Ultra Owners "Problem solved"
Thank you to all who responded! It turned out we were doing everything right and the cause of all the trouble was in the passengers PTT/ volume button. The dealer replaced that today and everything works great now. Thanks again!
