Only time I forgot was when oiling a chain, I would push the bike forward, put the stand down, oil, and repeat. I forgot one time to put down, in 1999. To not forget to put your feet down, you would have to be a total ________. How can you you be that drunk and still ride?

They make a modified jiffy stand tab that sends the angle of the leg forward a few inches. While the mechanical operation stays the same, the additional comfort of the leg being an inch or two 'forward' really made a visual difference for me and helped me to trust the stand more.
