RE: Street Glide vs Standard
OK SG is going to drag the pegs first, but come on man we both know you are going to scrape the damn things no matter how high they are...so I know the way you ride so EG has the nod....but you know again I am biased.....so once you decide what model now you must decide what color...black...white....blue....crimson....oh man my head is startingtp hurt...just buy something already we need to go to Cali and back....just razzin you of course..... thought it was family movie night?

Specs for what it is worth.
Standard: Ground clearance, 5.1 inches
Lean Angles 30/32 degrees
St. Glide: Ground clearance, 4.7 inches
Lean Angles 28/31 degrees
Going solely off of HD's specs, the SG will touch down 1st in turns.
Ride em right, and you can scrape ALL of em!!

Have you thought about a Road King, just wanted to confuse you even more. Seriously, why not by the standard and if you like the lower look, replace the shocks. Not sure, but probably still be less $ than the Street Glide.

If ytou like the looks of the SG you could always change the shocks to a 12" which is the same as the Std. The forks are the same and with the lower seat you'll still be lower in the bike. If you do change the shocks try the Progressive 440 I.A.S. shocks. You won't be disappointed.
