That pertains only to an M8 engine (2017+), not a Twin Cam engine (1999-2016)....

 

For your info, there were numerous, different Harley V-Twin engine models.

For example:

• 1911 - 1929 F-HEAD (61-74CI / 1000-1210CC)

• 1929 - 1973 FLATHEAD (45-74CI / 737-1212CC)

• 1936 - 1947 KNUCKLEHEAD (61-74CI / 983-1212CC)

• 1948 - 1965 PANHEAD (61-74CI / 983-1212CC)

• 1966 - 1984 SHOVELHEAD (74-82CI / 1212-1343CC)

• 1984 - 1999 EVOLUTION (80CI / 1343CC)

• 1999 - 2016 TWIN CAM (88-103CI / 1442-1687CC)

• 2001 - 2017 REVOLUTION (69-76CI / 1131-1247CC)

• SINCE 2017 MILWAUKEE-EIGHT - WAFFLEHEAD (107-117CI / 1746-1923CC)

All the above (with the possible exception of the Revolution engine) are referred to as Harley "V-Twin" engines, which has become synonymous with "Big Twin" engines.


You have a 2013 Street Glide, while your engine is considered a "Big Twin" / "V-Twin" engine, you specifically have a 103" Twin Cam engine.

Your Twin Cam, while similar, is in many ways very different from the other models of Harley "Big Twin" engines....

It would help you and reduce your confusion, if you limit your inquires to your year/model engine...

You need to have a service manual in your future. Lots of good reading in them.

 

Clearly the other two spark plugs go into the exhaust pipes for making fire at bike night.... I thought everyone knew this.

 

The twin cams also use a different spark plug and they can’t be accidentally mixed up because of different bore sizes in the heads.

 

Do yourself a favor and stop the "Fix My Hog" subscription. The tend dramatize the repair of the bikes and usually with newer models. Search E-bay for a Harley Davidson repair manual for your model you'll be glad you did. By the way my 2013 only has two spark plugs.

 

I like my panties in a twist.......keeps me sharp and on point!
I change plugs every 15k to 20 k just because.
And when I read about the tank deal I thought you had to remove the entire tank just to replace plugs.

FWIW.....

The touring model fuel tanks, without the fuel crossover hose at the front of the fuel tank, are real easy to remove & replace.

It's literally 4 bolts, two electrical connectors, and one vent hose to remove, then it lifts right off the frame backbone. You can do it with the console and fuel cap still on the tank..

It takes me 15 minutes total, to remove and then to replace the fuel tank on my '16 Ultra Classic.... I actually removed it once, while doing a detail on my bike, to polish the the tops of the rocker covers...

But my OCD aside, it's way easier than the tanks with the crossover fuel line...

Unless the tank is full... then you may need to grunt once or twice while moving the tank...
