Live to ride, ride to live emblems, yes or no?

I find it interesting that people can identify a 'dated' look on a bike that looks 90% like it did 30 years ago. I always liked the Willie G skull look and had a couple of dressers adorned with them, then they got super popular and everyone had them. I still like the look of any personalizations on a bike, including the RTL-LTR eagle, but in the pursuit of making my bike 'my own' I haven't added anything to the current ride other than a couple of tank emblems on the back of the saddlebags.
Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder and you should do what will make you smile when you go for a ride. If anyone wants my bike to look a certain way, they can deposit the asking price in my bank account and do what they like.

When I had my 1989 ElectraGlide repainted, the only logo that remained was HD in the timing cover. Prior to that it said Harley on it like 10-15 times.
Now I go for limited custom items. I have a K-Bar shift rod, the USMC EGA sand cast derby cover. Stuff that you do not see in any Harley dealer.
If you like the "live to ride" stuff, go to it.

There is so many of these bikes out there with so much stuff out there to make these bikes look " different " that I hardly notice any of the aftermarket stuff anyway and therefore choose to keep my bike original . The only way to make these bikes look different and to catch someone's eye is to give your bike a good dose of road rash for a year or two and then finish up with a one of a kind custom paint job...
