Ultra classic 2007 overheating
I'd just purchased a new Ultra Classic last week. I did not know about the overheating problems until after I purchased the bike. I ordered new slip on exhaust pipes, K&N air cleaner and Power Commanderlll. It took about an hour to put everything on, andmy overheating problems is gone. I have no ideal what the ambient temperature gauge is for. Before I installed everything my gauge read between 90 and 120. After the installation it stays between 80 and 90. I really did not want to put out the money, but I am glad I did. I have a wonderful bike that rides like a dream it sounds great and has great throttle response.

ambient temp guage? are you talking about the guage in the fairing? ain't got nuttin' to do with the engine temp, it is the outside (actually under the fairing temp), and doesn't reflect in any manner the engine (oil) temp.
