Default transmission oil...?

is there a oil that is as good as the formula + for the 07 ultra transmission?like something i could get at a parts store?what is reccommended?

I use Amsoil Severe Gear 75w90. Some folks use Redline.

I did some searching here and found lots of guys using redline ultra shock, heavy or something like that, I got it at my local Napa store, all I can say is WOW my SG almost shifts like a real bike now, that big CLUNK is gone and it shifts like butter, really good stuff.

I'm running Mobil 1 75W-90 gear oil with good results. A couple of guys at the local dealership are running Belray 85W-140 and love the stuff. Said there is no thunk and quites the tranny down quite a bit.

Redline Shockproof Heavy for my transmission...got it through "myoilstore.com"...one of the supporters here. Great stuff.

Another one here. I use Redline's Heavy Duty Shock Proof Gear Lube

Love the stuff. But, my tranny's not stock either!

I have used both Mobil1 75-90 gear oil and Valvoline 85-140
Both work great.
I think the Valvoline 85-140 is a little smoother and quieter.

I've been using Mobil 1 in my Sporty. Just bought some Amsoil severe for my RG. I can tell you that the Sporty shifts noticably better with the Mobil. I'll be changing the RG oil soon. I expect good results.
