RE: Eliminating "bag crash bars" on a RK Classic?
I used these on my 02 RG:
CARLINI[/b]
FLOATER[/b] BAR[/b] EXHAUST/SADDLEBAG SUPPORTS FOR 93-03 DRESSERS - Floater[/b] bars for 93-96 FLT models and 94-96 FLHR (pr.)[/b]
Drag P/N: DS-209946
Check w/Bart on these....
HD also sells complete replacement lowermounts that allow you to cleanly remove the crashbar part.

I agree it's a lot cleaner look when the crash bars are removed, but.... 3 months ago I laid my 99 Road King down on a mountain road in West Virginia. I'm still out of work, but the crash bars saved the gas tank and the saddlebags. Two of the bros behind me were riding Streetglides. Two weeks later both added the saddlebag guards....

I'm cleaning up the look of my 02 RK Classic. I see some RK Customs do not have the bar infront of the hard leather bags...? It seems the bar/support for the bag is hidden below. Is that aftermarket, or a HD part?

Do harley sell the rear bars in black..but the comfort / sloping kind?
I can find these in chrome but not in black.
Anyone have any information or know of another maker that would have black sloping bars to fit the street glide?
