If not I guess Fuel Moto........all I hear is good things about them.
And they do the full set up for you right?
Here’s the best advice you’ll receive all night. So gird your loins.

I’ve run Ohlins. Great shocks. But I’m getting ready to order my third set of 13” Bitubos from DK Customs ( for a third bike). $595, which is $100 less than the Ohlins you posted, PLUS those Bitubos are adjustable for rebound, and those particular Ohlins are not, as I recall.

DK Customs is active on this website, wil answer your questions here. You can call them, ask for Rachel. They are right over in Miss. not too far from you.

The Öhlins HD 772 (S36DR1L) is 13”. They have rebound adjustment, length adjustment and preload adjustment, along with multiple spring rate options. There is an easy setup calculator on their website for adjusting the sag.

My mistake. I was thinking the Ohlins 777. The 772 with rebound adjustment is around $1000. The Bitubo with rebound adjustment is $595.

you can buy direct from ohlins, but they only sell for msrp. when i bought they told me to check with a dealer for deals. go to ohlins site and go to the setup calculator and punch in your numbers, theyll recommend a spring for you and tell you how to set them up.

after that you can go to their find a dealer section and do exactly that. kyle racing east was their largest servicing dealer when i ordered just outside daytona and theyre a servicing dealer but theres a bunch of them. kyle racing did set them up for me too as far as preload. big bear is another big servicing dealer. when rebuild time comes around youll be sending to ohlins or a servicing dealer.

the setup calculator on ohlins site will take down your info and make a spring recommendation and tell you how much preload to run. thats all the setup anyone does. ohlins calculator takes all the guesswork out.

Yes try Kyle Racing for the HD 772. They have some discounts with free shipping and they're probably in your neighborhood. Some people like them and am sure they're very helpful.

Tx for all the info guys!
I k ow the Ohlins are top notch.....I just wonder, at 1k, is it more shock then I need.
How do Bitubos compare?
For the price I saw on a previous post. I could get them AND get new tires for my 81 shovelhead!!
Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!

I’ve run both. For my style of riding, cruising and traveling the Bitubos are more than sufficient. Blindfolded I would not be able to tell them apart.

If you buy Ohlins, buy direct from them. Call them and they will walk you through the process. They've been great with me on the past two bikes.

i was going to go this route but they told me to go through a dealer if i wanted any sort of discount. they said it didnt matter where the order came from and that id get the same service. my initial purchase was through jp cycles and after jp giving me the runaround i called ohlins and they were able to help on why my order hadnt shipped. thats how i ended up with kyle racing.

They have not let me down, yet.
Same here, the were very meticulous about getting mine set up properly with a lengthy phone conference and rebuilding access as I recall was available if memory serves.
Either way they can be sent to Ohlins for rebuilding,I remember Fuel Moto telling me to keep my stock shocks for temporary replacements should I need to send mine in.
