Default RE: What manual to buy?

OK this is a question I have had for awhile to.What does the A or SP or other numbers at the end of the part number stand for. Is it a different manual? example: P/N 99483-04SP does this mean if I own a police issue I need this manualin accordance with P/N 99483-04 and P/N 99483-04A? confuses me I guess. Don't want to make a 60.00 mistake by buying the wrong manual. Sorry didn't mean to Hi jack your thread Das Mottorad

Das,

Same as voodoo, I have all three. Bought the service manual (and a bike cover) the day I picked up the bike from the dealer. The parts catalog and electrical diagnostic manual came from ebay. I am also considering the fix-my-hog dvd, but thought I'd drop a hint around the holidays. ;-)

Definately the HD service manual and parts manual. The parts manual can showexploded views better than the service manual in a lot of cases. I always buythe owners manual, service manual, and parts manuals (about $125 total). The owner's manual has valuable informationsuch asmaintenance intervals and security system informationlike how to disarm the system usinga turn signal sequence. It also has wallet cardsdetailing how to disarm the security system via the turn signals. The card has come in handy on several occasions when my security system fob batterywent dead. You can't have too factory much info.about your ride. Gregm,
