Default RE: AirHawks or Road Zeppelin Seat???

The first thing she said when she got on the bike last year was "Where's the grab rails???" So that was the first addition to the FLHTC. Does the wider Zeppelin seat fit between the grab rails?

I figure there's a compressor to add air. Is there an electrical quick disconnect on the leads so the seat is easy to take off?

Me thinks it's time to go to the dealer.

Hey Dude,
The Zep does fit between the grab bars, there is a compressor, you do need electric (under the seat front right of the battery, but with the tour pack off I couldn't get the sissy bar to fit so had to use regular seat in bar bike mode.

the Zep raises you up a bit, but once you get used to it, it is great. Really made the difference in comfort for me and the wife on the long ones. Really comfy now.

I put the Zep on my UC a couple of months ago. I could only ride about an hour and a half on the comfort stitch but can go much longer on the zep. It's great to be able to adjust it on the fly. My wife isn't as impressed in the passenger compartment. Front seat is too wide for her to rap her short legs around.

i have the air hawk. i'm a big guy and it works fine, but you still feel the miles. my opinion, if you have the money go for the zep. .the hawk sits on the bike like a pad. not very good looking

Now that I have one I highly recommend the Road Zeppelin. I can't compare anything else to the capability of changing the seat adjustment while running down the road.

I'd say get the Air Hawk. We purchased the leather Road Zeppelin seat & backrest with our new Ultra and both my wife and I thought it was the most uncomfortable seat we had ever sat on. Plus it raised me up 1-1/2 - 2" and forward about 1" where it completely changed my riding position. Returned it to the dealer and bought Air Hawk cushions, they're great.
