Default Road glide gauge compatibility

I found a set of 2021 RoadGlide Special gauges on forum and would like to know if they should swap right out with my 2019 RoadGlide gauges? They look identical but not sure if anything changes electronically between those years.

Compare part numbers here.

https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...s?aribrand=HDM

Edit - If the gauges include the speedometer, you will get a VINERR.

One way to tell is check an online parts fiche and see if they bear the same pn# between the two years.

yes, they'll fit. but, as mentioned, you will get the vinerr code unless you have the gauge flashed. i've also heard (but can neither confirm nor deny) that even though the mileage is stored in the ecm, whichever had the highest mileage, gauge or ecm, it would keep the highest number.

I wonder if my PowerVision can flash the Speedo? Yes it’s a complete set out of a newer bike

Buy the black gauges you need/want, then buy the Speedo new from HD and it will marry itself to your bike with your mileage.

Or........ if you really want a change, go with a set of Dakota Digital's! They will marry to your ECM as well......
