Stock windshield on a Street Glide...
Why do the majority of people dislike the stock windshield on a Street Glide? It is one of the reasons that I purchased the Street Glide. I like the wind in your face. When you are riding an Ultra and there is no wind, I feel like I am in a car or something?

RE: Stock windshield on a Street Glide...
I loved the look of my stock SG shield. Too bad the wind coming over the shield hit me right in the eye/forehead area. It made it difficult to keep my glasses in place. So I put an 8 inch shield on and put the stock shield with the rest of my stock parts.

I do 2 things....If I use my stock seat, I run a 6" smoked shield, just about perfect for the wind(road trips, long hauls)
If I run my Corbin, which seats me a lot lower then the stock, I run my 4" stock shield.(around town, short trips)
Additionaly, to ease on some of the buffeting, I use the smoked side wings on the fairing and it seems to help alot regardless of which shield I'm running.

RE: Stock windshield on a Street Glide...
I got rid of the stock windshield because it threw the wind directly into my line of sight which made it tough to see at 75 MPH. I now have the 8" shield and can't tell the difference from stock unless I'm parked next to a SG with the stock shield.
