Lithium Battery/Starter in Touring Bike
#52
How long were your AGM batteries lasting? 5 years is mediocre for my area, but for hot areas it seems decent. I was wondering if the cost my be offset if they lasted longer in hot areas. Though you can buy 2-3 AGM for the cost.

In the last 55 years or so of ridding Motorcycle I have to battery's go dead on me. Yes it was my own fought to lazy to change my battery. I change my battery every three years if it needs it or not, Cheep Maintenance. I have been using for the last 15 years or so Decka battery's. I see no reason to change now. Here in Lancaster Pa a house burnt down yesterday guy was charging a Scotter battery. It seems like they want to re invent something. So here are my thoughts on why not change to a Lithium battery:
They last longer: well they cost more too is it worth it?
Weight: you could do two about weight if that's your concern One put your *** on a diet loose a few lbs, and trade your fat *** girl friend for a new and improved one LOL

the is my experience as well with the NOCO, don't need a tender and it fires up (no pun intended) lively. Loving the lithium so far.

I use this one also so far no issues, ( about 6 months riding almost everyday) . The 3X price is for high end lithiums like Shori . Harley most likely would use high quality lithium, hence the deduction it won't be cost effective for them to sell bikes with these batteries.
