As far as "extreme cold" ,it appears to be regulated with a built in BMS, that will not let the battery charge if it is too cold.....or too hot. This is for the NOCO Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4).

My experience with this battery has been for 31ish days. While wife was riding it yesterday, everything shut down. No power to anything. Checked fuses and battery connections on side of road and all was good. Called for a tow to get it home.

Once home, I plugged in tender and everything turned on and bike started. Shut it off, unplugged tender and it's all dead again. Assuming bad battery, but I'll run diagnostics later this morning.

Ugh.

Can't run diagnostics when the bike won't power up. **** it, bought an AGM. The fight with Batteries Plus is sure to follow.

Turd at Batteries Plus tried to tell me it was the bikes fault. He should be flipping burgers.

With all the negative stories about lithium batteries, I think I will continue to use AGM batteries.

I know that there are lots of people that are successfully running a lithium battery. My guess is that I just got unlucky and was sold one that is defective.
