Wow, it's cold in here. Has the guy even tried one of the FL's if he's mainly interested in comfort?

I'll waive when you go by. I'm staying on the HOG for a while. The Ultra has been my favorite ride for a long time.

Goldwings are still good motorcycles. They are not bad motorcycles at all and are very reliable machines....including the 20+ year old models as well.

Someone should not just buy a bike just because they are popular or their friend bought one. I always recommend reading reviews and test riding several different makes/models until you find one that fits you. Alot of folks will pass on a very good motorcycle.....just to buy a different model because it is more popular. Think for yourself and don't let others think for you.....buy what YOU like!

All the manufactures make pretty good decent touring motorcycles including Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, HD, and others.

Where I live......SUV's and Nissan Altima's are popular. I see these vehicles more than anything else on the road here. Are they the best vehicles out there? No. Are there any other choices out there when it comes to vehicles? Yes

Goldwings are also very popular here as well. Are they the only touring bikes out there? No. Do any other manufacture make touring bikes? Yes

My point is.....alot of people seem to must have approval from someone else before they buy something. They tend to listen to others more than themselves. They will only buy because it is popular and it looks good.....forgetting price, value, reliabity, warranty, and other reviews.

Just because it is popular.....does not make it the right machine for YOU!!!

If honda's are soo good why is harley-davidson soo big in japan.
Seems the even the japs would rather ride a Harely.
One more I like going to biker parties where the girls take there tops off.
Dought that happens at the honda hoot.

For what it is worth I had two Goldwings before moving up to my 2007 Ultra Classic and would not trade it for two new goldwings. Or maybe I would so I could sell them both and pay of my new Harley.

My neighbor has a 2003 RKC which he runs occassionally. Yesterday we where discussing his desire to make the move to a Goldwing. Looking for a smoother softer ride for his OL.
Seemed so simple, suggested he test ride one. Easier said than done he came back today and we both search high and wide and could not find a Honda rental facility similiar to the network Harley operates.

Anyone familiar with a rental facility in the New England area?

Please spare me the noise about not going to the darkside. He is considering his options and the GW is high on the list.
I know someone who would be interested in his Road King.

Man I gotta hand it to you! I dont think I would man up and bring up the subject of the GW here but then again I pick my arguments with a bit more prudence the I used too. I just can't see why you would abandon the history, fraternity, and social aspects of the HD family. Yeah I know the MOCO is out for the almighty $ but the riders are out to protect and insure the riding heritage. IMHO.
