Wth is this?????
I recently bought a 2010 Road King.
The windshield that came with it has this "stuff" on the
INSIDE of the plexi.
It looks like a solvent of some kind was splashed ON it but I can't clean it because, again, it's on the INSIDE!
I just ordered a new one from Clearview and no one there has ever sern anything like it.
I've asked several other people but no luck.
Have any of you ever seen something like this?
Could it be a mold?
It's not spreading and the spotted areas are as solid as the rest of the shield.
And its only on/in the lower portion of the shield if that helps.
Any ideas???

My 2003 Anniversary Harley windshield did that. It was tinted on one side like that. It's so thin, void spots do that yet you can't even fill an edge.
Must be similar to the process the eyeglasses shop tint plastic lens.
Bet if you put a piece of tape on it in the sun and pull it off, it will pull it off.

Forgot to mention , when I bought my 10 King , I put the light grey tinted clearview shield on it , that was 5 years ago , still looks like new ( accept for rock chips ) . What impressed me the most about it , was the fact that they are made thicker than most oem shields .
When cleaning , especially dried bugs etc , use a towel or shammy cloth with warm water , and lightly wipe it clean . To prevent fine scratches , rinse the shield off first , then clean .
Enjoy the new ride , it should give you many happy miles .
