I must ask... Have you given any thought to a set of black saddle bag supports?
Not that my thoughts should matter, but would you ever consider removing the unsightly tank emblem & allowing your nice paint scheme to flow even better?

I'd say that that was an excellent beginning to cleaning things up!
A little WD40 and a bit or rubbing would remove the lettering on your plug wires as well as any unsightly stickers.

No. There's a subtle balance of chrome and black. I had my last bike completely blacked out. I changed the wheels this year and I run lowers and a matched tour pak. The tank emblem doesn't bother me. It's a CVO, so I'll be leaving it.

Yeah those aren’t ugly at all….it’s like having a trombone strapped to your bike!
