They've been using these on FLT's since 1980. I put one on the 05 and didn't notice much difference engine temp wise.
I don't have a temp guage other than the useless one in the fairing.

I've had one on my bike since the day I bought it, and it doesn't help my temps at all.

The DTT is helping my temps for sure, yesterday on a 300 mile ride in the NH mountains, it was 90 degrees and my bike never got over 225 on the oil temp. Before with the PC it would be up in the 240's and low 250's.........way too warm.

I have one and took it off recently. Manual says to remove if temp is over 70*.
I didn't notice it get any cooler when I removed it but it didn't make things worse.

Why isthe manual saying to remove it if temp is over 70 if it helps cool the motor?

The left pic shows it at an angle for the photo, the top has the mounting holes. It's like a shallow half bowl with a flat going across with holes.
Goes in behind the forks on the lower triple tree, diverts air downward a little. Supposed to really help with the funny turbulance around the head area.

personally i dont think it does $hit but redirect air and lessen the wind in my face....i do believe it directs more air onto the jugs/heads which should cool it down...it can only help IMO but it didnt plunge the temps 30deg on my scoot

I picked up 2 for our bikes on Saturday but need to get a tap to clean out the holes first.
