Default couple issues today

Went for a ride today on my 2005 electra glide. Rode for 2 hrs, stopped to grab a couple things.Rode to gas station and filled up. Headed out of town and while getting up to speed noticed check engine light had come on at some point while going through the gears, Light went out before i got to hwy speed. Thats Weird I though. No issues on ride home. Any ideas on what caused that?
2nd issue Rode home, 2hrs, Came into town and filled up at gas station around the block from home, Turned ignition on, flicked on run and pushed start, Nothing, no crank no click, nothing, cycled everything and tried again a couple times, same results. ( Luckily I had a push button installed on started a few years ago as was having issues with what i thoought was a started issue, turned out was the battery tender cables coming loose ) Pushed started button and started right up. Thats weird again!
So got home parked on the street opened garage door. Brought bike into the garage, Started no problem with start button.
Anybody got any ideas for either issue?

On the first issue, even though it corrected itself, if it threw a code there should still be a historical code.... check your codes..

The second issue, not a lot to go on, but wild a$$ guess, it could be kill switch or ignition switch with bad/dirty contacts....

I always start with the battery terminals, then move to the other end of the battery cables. Troubleshooting out from there.

+1 .... sounds like a battery issue. Start with the cables.

Ran diag this morning
P1353 Front Cylnder No Combustion came up, followed by Pn 167348 04A which is the tach, never noticed an issue with tack and the 2 seem to be unrelated to me ??
checked plugs and plug wires and connection, all seemed good.
If front cylinder decompression valve/button was stuck open would that trip the code P1353 ?
Didn't have time take seat off to check battery cables this morning

Did you start in neutral or in gear at the second gas stop? Might be a failing clutch or neutral sensor, or CPS. On older bikes there may not be specific codes when the ignition is cut, but I'd suspect the CPS if the wiring is good. If it drops out the ECM will absolutely cut ignition right away.

Was in nuetrel when starting. I've been out everyday since and haven't had the issue again.
I did some research about checking the CPS with a MM, seems like a winter project And the push button on the starter didn't seem to be affected.
Should be good until the snow starts flying here

You don’t have a decompression valve on a 05 unless you installed them some how.

Thats correct,
I bought the bike used in 2009 and if remeber correctly it had 1,2 and 3 stage upgrade, Jims 103 upgrade
decompression valves installed at that time I would have to guess

Turns out the check engine light triggered by code (low compression in front cylinder) was actually a blown head gasket. When it happened the light did go out after a few seconds and after I cleared it it hasn't come back on. Have only rode a couple times on short rides since light came on. It Must seal up when hot as light hasn't come back on ?? I discovered it when I started yesterday and a puff or 2 of exhaust came out of left side of front cylinder. Will get repaired during the winter, question, should I go ahead and do both? Bike has 88,900 KM on it, I've put 22,000 KM on it, not sure when the heads were last off before I got the bike.
