I have a 2022 SGS, Black paint, Black exhaust, Black covers on engine. I think it’s too much black. I’m thinking of changing the heat shields on exhaust and the mufflers to chrome.
‘anyone done this? Anyone like to trade heat shields?

Put some chrome on that bad boy! Never understood or liked the current "all black" look. Especially all black rims.
Chrome heat shield would look great.

 

I put some diversity into my bike with a little paint and pin striping. Personally I like the black pipes because they are so easy to clean.

 

Rather than chrome how about a different color , They make dam good paint that will hold up

 

I put black chrome on my bike. Black, but also shiny. Just a thought. As far as trading, I have two sets of black heat shields, but my chrome was traded out last year.

 

I like balance. Don't make everything one way or another without purpose.

All black can look nice as the outlier, but when every bike is that way it's the same as chrome everywhere.

 

I agree with the OP, too much black now. What a great thing for Harley, charge more to paint something versus chroming it. And black front forks look like crap after several thousand miles versus even polished billet or whatever forks normally used to be.
