Cuts out
my problem is when my bike goes around 4 mile it cuts out like it ran out of gas, after letting it sit for 10 minutes it starts right up again . I've brought it to two mechanics the first one pulled the carb ,cleaned the gas filter changed the plugs and it kept happening. The second one changed th plug wires and solenoid and it still keeps happening. Anyone experincing this.

RE: Cuts out
year make and model would be helpful!
You need a new mech. He doesn't have a clue, and is just throwing parts
at it hoping to fix it. (plug wires can be checked with ohm meter)
Next time it does it, check and see if there is spark at the plug.
Carry a spare plug with you (best get one at parts store that has the grounding clamp mounted on it).
Pull one plug wire connect it to this plug and ground it to the engine.
Crank engine over. No spark it is electrical and now back track the cause.
You already have new wires so suspect the coil or control module or the crank / cam sensor if you have electronic. If points; the points and condenser.
If you have spark then most likely is fuel related.
Already rebuilt the carb (hopefully right). Pull the petcock fitting out of tank and inspect the screen and petcock for fuel flow . and the fuel line.
they deteriorate on the inside and can cause problems.
