Hello colleagues, the question is that I have a RK03 with a good 5-speed tc88, and due to some circumstances I have gotten a 6-speed tc96 gearbox with reverse gear...
I know that the complete conversion is not possible, but would the internals of one box enter another?
I have read something about it and they said that if slightly modifying the box, has anyone tried it?

Check with Baker Drivetrain. They would know.

 

A TC96 gear box will not work in a TC88 five speed case. You need a 6 speed kit for a 5 speed case - if you can even find one. Back in the day, Harley offered one called the cruise drive. A Baker would be better though...

 

why wouldn't it work? does not enter?

 

What makes you believe it will? Harley didn’t just “bump up” the motor. The engineering to add another gear as well as cubic inches wasn’t cut and paste so to speak.
