Default Oil Temp Sensor - who makes a kit besides HD?

Thinking about replacing the worthless air temp gauge w/ an oil temp gauge.
HD says the kit is on a 28 week backorder.

I want to think that I'll have this thing back together long before then, so I'm looking for alternative sources.
If anyone knows where I might be able to locate a black-faced 2" oil temp gauge and sensor, wire harness, etc. please let me know.

VDO? Used them on my VWs. Price really not much more than the 1970's.

Amazon Amazon

I have a nice AutoMeter 19640
Its new and I have never used it.
Its a complete kit. With wiring harness.
You just need to splice the purple and gray
Wire back onto wiring harness I cut for
Another project that didn’t work out.
Paid a couple hundred dollars for this
A few years ago. You can have it
$75.00 if your interested.

Thats a great offer. Thanks.
Im a bit concerned about the limit of the gauge being 280 though.
I’m unsure what temps my oil might be reaching, but the factory gauge goes to 350.
I wouldn’t want to peg the meter.
Let me look into this a bit and see what range is appropriate.

Yes, 28 week lead time does seem a bit excessive.
A buddy just bought a kit w/ a Platimun face.
HD apparently has those; he says it looks fine w/ the other gauges, but I’m not sold on it yet.

Trust me if you peg out 280 you got problems.
Harley says 230 normal operating temp.

They don't have it. Their order system is connected to European warehouse and shows availability from their stock. "Available to backorder" means there is none in stock, "Extended delivery" means there is a very long backorder.

I’ve been caught in heavy traffic and have seen 260 on my gage. Changed the oil when I got home
