Default Exhaust stud

Bought a new 2–1 bassani full exhaust road rage three!

The one rear stud nut just keeps turning. It won’t tighten down all the way I tried two different nuts. It just keeps chewing them up

So I removed the stud and the threads look messed up on that. Will replacing the stud and getting a new nut work??

where will the same thing just happened again?

My one thought is the threads may have been buggered up getting the flanges up to the heads.
That could explain the nuts getting screwed up and stripping out. That or maybe in bad shape from the get go.

Replace the stud and get some new nuts. The OEM nuts are very good to use cause of the way they are made.
Yea stuff from a good hardware store is fine too.
Wasn't there so somebody that was there hopefully can figure out what's happening

Pics can help as well
Good Luck WP

That’s what I’m thinking. I wonder if the flange ended up screwing the threads up it was a pretty tight fit and I was installing it by myself.

The flange going up on the studs shouldn't damage the threads enough that they can't be used ... You're fortunate that the stud came out of the head ... As "WP" mentioned new studs and nuts and a bit of patience will get you back on the road
