CVO's
I like the Road Glide personally.
Do they run cooler than the current machines ? How much heat is thrown off ? How do the ride ? Are they smoother over bumps and ride better ? Are the rear shocks the remote reservoir models ? Anyone ride two up ? What do the passenger think ?
I Rode 145 miles yesterday it was 86' in the afternoon, between the heat off the bike, the heat off the road, and the sun beating down it was not fun.. Mine is de catted and tuned. Still an air cooled. Motorcycle is hot.. Next bike will be water cooled..

From my short ride on them on Saturday (15-20 miles each bike), I can offer an opinion on a few of you questions.
Do they run cooler: Yes it seemed to run a bit cooler than my '22 UL with Twin cool. How much cooler, I can't say, but heat was not an issue I even noticed on the bike. It was in the 90's when I rode them.
How do they ride: Very nicely. The suspension is tight, but compliant. I would say it's a big improvement comparing to my '22 UL. The handling was quick, light and accurate. I rode my own bike on the test loop they had set up and the new bikes had a nicer ride quality. Yes, they are smoother over bumps. No, they do not have remote res rear shocks. I rode solo, so no passenger feedback. The rear seat on them does not really appear to be set up for a passenger. It seems to be there more for looks. I wouldn't want to sit there.
After riding them, I want a UL version of the new CVO's.

Love at first sight
Thank you Black Ultra for your response. I am going to check to see if our local dealer has the test fleet coming..I want to ride one. I doubt they will let me take one for an extended ride out of their inventory.
" bring it back when you want,"Like they have in the past. .But I do want to ride one..Best of luck with one if you do decide to buy.

I'm decidedly not a CVO person, but that doesn't mean I don't like them plenty. I just wouldn't buy one for several reasons. These new CVO models don't have me salivating, but then I haven't seen one up close. I suspect I would like them from an overall perspective, even if I nitpicked certain things about them. But truthfully, the cost of a CVO should result in a bike the buyer thinks is all but perfect for themselves.
Personal taste: The platinum or silver bike is straight-up boring as paint goes for me. The whiskey Road Glide is out-of-sight better and yes....worth the extra money in my world.

Same here. I stopped into American HD in North Tonawanda NY last week during a family visit, and wouldn't have even given it more than a passing glance if it wasn't parked right up front. The Whiskey Neat/Raven is much more attractive, IMHO that color makes the bike.
