I have heard that the SE 204 and the Andrews 37 are not that good on the 96ci Engines, the SE 211 is a Better Cam i hear. I have Ordered my 211 and will be Installing it once it comes in
I've been looking, too, and haven't seen anything yet that impresses me. I want low-end and midrange TQ, and top-end HP is way down on my priority scale. As Jim (dirtdobber) said, I'm very impressed with this TC96 in basically stock form, in my case upgrading only pipes, AC, and a good PCIII map. In fact, I may just leave it alone, but I'm still watching to see if something comes along that might make it worthwhile. I've seen some results from an Andrews 26H install and wasn't impressed--TQ and HP up very slightly, but not nearly enough to warrant the cost and trouble to install. I watch the Dyno sticky thread in this forum, but to date have seen few dyno charts for 96's.

How difficult is it to install cams? I have done engine work before but never on a bike...anyone got a good link to point me too?
It's much easier swapping cams in the 96 compared to earlier TC's, as there's no bearing to pull out and press in. From the service manual, it looks like removing the front exhaust pipe would be the hardest part of the job. Special tools outlined in the manual are unnecessary, IMO, more a matter of convenience than necessity.

Buzzard 69- number of good choices out there for Baggers with the 96 motor. Wood tw-6, Andrews 37,R&R 525, SE 255,Andrews 54. No real overridingreason to go with gear drive either with the 07 motors.

The R&R 525 is just out in the market and the Andrews 54 is still a month or two away.

RR525 || TW54 || SE 255
.525 lift || .555 lift || .550
20/38 intake || 19/39 intake ||
48/16 exhaust || 43/15 exhaust ||
238 intake duration || 238 intake duration || 211
244 exhaust duration || 238 exhaust duration || 235

Pick your riding style and talk to the sponsors/good shops and heed their advice.

I think these are a bit hot for my taste, but would like to see some dyno charts if you know where I could view them.

Lots a good input, I really plan on doing the work myself as I've done this to all the other bikes I've owned

Thanks Again for the Ideas
