Cadillac vs Jeep
I just drove my '03 Yamaha Road Star for the first time since picking up my '08 Ultra a few weeks ago. I have just over 600 miles on the Ultra and no miles on the Roadie since the new purchase.
Always loved the Roadie, the ride, handling, no mechanical problems at all out of it since buying it back in '03.....but my only comparison after doing some time on the Ultra would be like going from a Cadillac (Ultra) to a Jeep. Might even say a tank. WOW....the ride was so much different, and if I would have sold the Roadie right away or traded it in and had not climbed back on it I would have swore the ride was always excellent.[sm=bounceybounce.gif]
I understand....cruiser....tourer, but I never expected that big a difference. Never would have known had I not climbed back in the saddle of the Roadie.[sm=biker.gif]
Still may keep it, but doubt the wife will let that one fly....especially since I filled her in on the comparison!

I kept my Suzuki Volusia after I got my Ultra and I can truly say the Suzuki has been problem free and has some features I really like, but the Ultra is in a totally different class for ride and comfort. My wife won't even get back onthe Suzuki anymore.
