Default Handlebars for FLHX

Ok, I've read the posts about the Harley touring pull back bars, and I tend to agree with them. I don't like the hand/wrist position that these bars give. I've also read all the posts about the Wild 1 WO575 bars. I understand from the posts that they have a much more natural hand position, but I haven't seen these in person.

Here's my question. Is there anyone else out there that makes a pull back type bar for FLHs? I really wantabout 2" more pull back for comfort, but I don't like the chubby bar look and I don't want to pay the $200 premium for the bars either.

Any ideas?

I did a search for an alternative to the WO575 Chubbys, and I couldn't come up with anything that seemed to bebetter. There are quite a few posts on this board from people who are happy with the 575's. Flanders makes a set of bars that are similar to the Chubbys, but have a normaldiameter. I think they cost around $170. The problem is that if you go with a higher bar, you're going to obliterate the view in the fairing mounted mirrors. I decided to go with the 575's, and I've having them installed next week.

I have the Khromewerks 300505 +2 sweeper bars on my EGS.
About 3" wider than stock , 2" higher , 2" pullback.
Much more natural wrist position than stock.
They may block your view on a FLHX , but my EGS mirrors work better with them.

You can get them direct , they go for about $65.00.
I love mine.....

I think you will find that any aftermarket bars that bring your position up and out will give you a great view of your knuckles thru the fairing mounted mirrors. I found this out on mylast 06 Street Glide after the fact.

Hey, thanks for the information. I never found the Khromewerks bars on my own and probably never would have. I'll give them a try. And I'm pretty sure that I'll have to start using handlebar mounted mirrors, small price to pay for all day comfort.

You gotta love this site. Thanks again.
