Default 2007 Road King classic cruise control issue

Greetings all hoping that someone can help me with this. Recently my cruise control indicator light stays on even when the switch is in the off position. The cruise will engage, set, accelerate and resume with no issues. As far as trouble shooting goes. I have unplugged the cruise control module and the switch stays on (red). I have done the diagnostic testing (switch on bike off etc). No apparent issues there. Switch will turn off when unplugged from the connector. So I am at a loss… Do I have bum module or switch or could this be incorrectly tensioned throttle cables? I am hesitant to think it could be a ground but if open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
