Default 6 speed shifting points

I know with different engines/torques shifts are different, and what the "manual" says by the way BUT...If you have a stock 96cu with a 6 speed please comment. I seem to get out of first around 20 mph or sooner. 2nd takes me to 35 ish, then 3rd to 50, 4th to 60, 5th to highway speeds and even at 70 it doesn't feel like it wants 6th yet... I am not an aggressive rider and baby my bikes when accelerating. AT WHAT SPEEDS DO YOU GUYS UPSHIFT AND DOWNSHIFT with this engine/ trans combo?

Thank you but I have no tach. It is easy enough to listen and feel when she wants to shift but really 4th to 5th and 5th to 6th are the questions for me. At what speeds do you guys come out of 4th? 5th? (96cu/6-speed)

You say your not an aggressive driver and baby it while accelerating and bike is stock, so I assume your bike has good bottom end torque.

Sounds like to me your holding it in gear ranges way too long unless your way into the throttle.

If your on a 35 MPH street, are you always in 2nd gear?

If it was a 35 zone I am shifting out of second around 30-35 and maintaining 35-40 in 3rd. Sound right?

Up here , most of the speed limits are 50 kph , which is about 30 mph , I'm usually in 3rd , 4th seems to be a little sluggish . I always keep my bike in 5th when riding the highway , only using 6th when I'm above 70 mph .

No tach here , so riding by ear is the only way I know it .

I have one of those speedo/tach combo gauge on my King and shift around 3K -3.5K RPM. I know the sound of my motor pretty well and I shift around that just by the sound now.
