Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question... "STOCK" ultra? you mean nothing done on it, or the miles before we started messing with it?
I went about 850 miles before my Stage 1 upgrades. But heat and ping was the only issue.
I have over 10k right now with no problems whatsoever on my bike. Tranny is fine, and motor runs and sounds fine. Heat and ping are greatly reduced... after some tuning
