Or just go to your local bodyshop and ask them to buff the scratches out. It will be quick and not very expensive at all.

Had almost the same issue with my lid covers. I used Turtle Wax Clay bar. It is a liquid that virtually eliminates the scratches. Wipe it in straight lines, wash off and follow up with a good coat of wax. Amazing!!Was having so much fun doing this I followed up on my son's car.

Normally any Automotive Paint Supply Company will carry all 3-M products - Should be listed in your local phone book
