If you are fitting this gauge to your 2007 Ultra you will need to buy an accessory kit which alters the oil filter mount on the front of the engine and the sender unit fits in there. Works well on mine.. Good luck from OZ.

I've been debating over this for a long time. Think I'm going to install the compass instead. Something that when I look at it:

1. I won't freak out and think my bike is running too hot now that I can actually see the temp[&:]

2. be useful in helping me find my way back home.

EDIT: screw the compass!!!! The directions are 8-pages long and require a PhD to understand, much less perform...........[&:][&:]

Maybe and oil temp gauge is in the very near future.[8D]

103,

The kit isn't necessary. Many of us are just using a brass fitting in the extra hole in the oil pan. It's easier and about $50 cheaper!

Add to that some of ushave the oil cooler.
Putting the sensor in the pan just makes the most sense.

Does anyone know if Wally'sBrushed Aluminum oil temp gauge matches the Street Glide brushed aluminum gauges? Also, is any additional parts needed? Specifically...

thanks all. searching does wonders. i had h.c. pistons in a yamaha roadstar pulling a trailer riding two up. when i lost the front piston due to over heating. i will be for sure adding a guage to the 08 u.c. before this summer. as of the last time i asked, our dealership was waiting for the manuals too.
